Sailpoint Doubles in 2011

SailPoint today announced it posted record annual revenue growth in 2011 and closed its largest growth quarter to date in Q4 2011. The company’s momentum resulted from growing customer demand in all geographies and the strong industry validation SailPoint received in 2011 as an identity management market leader. SailPoint’s customer roster now features more than 100 Global 2000 companies spanning 25 countries. During 2011, SailPoint also opened three new Centers of Excellence internationally and inked a global reseller agreement with BMC Software.

In December, Gartner, Inc. recognized SailPoint as a leader in the “Magic Quadrant for Identity and Access Governance” and a visionary in the “Magic Quadrant for IT Administration/User Provisioning.” SailPoint’s placement in both reports was based on the company’s completeness of vision and ability to execute. As part of the process, Gartner conducted an exhaustive product and company evaluation andinterviewed customers.

“SailPoint was a pioneer of the identity governance market,” said Kevin Cunningham, SailPoint’s president and founder. “We believe our positioning in the IAG Magic Quadrant is confirmation of our outstanding innovation and incredible market momentum. And we feel that placing in the User Provisioning Magic Quadrant as a visionary reflects the industry’s need for the new, governance-based approach to identity management that SailPoint has been evangelizing and delivering to the market. As we expand our solutions to address new vertical markets and growing customer requirements, we’re committed to maintaining our leadership and most importantly, delivering tangible results to customers.”

Earlier in the year, SailPoint was named a leader in the Forrester Research Inc. report “The Forrester Wave: Role Management And Access Recertification, Q3 2011.” In the report, SailPoint was one of the top ranked companies in the categories of corporate viability and ease of use. Analystfirms Ovum and Kuppinger Cole also conducted hands-on evaluations of SailPoint IdentityIQ and recognized the product’s industry-leading business friendly user interface, integrated governance model across compliance and lifecycle management activities, and flexible approach to “last mile” provisioning.
