When is the first SXSW panel going to be? Apparently it will be at 12:01am on Friday March 11th. That’s basically one minute after Midnight on Thursday night. Part of the Larry Chiang Entrepreneur Experience will be an 11 minute happy hour (the Reverse VC Pitch Party) on Thursday night late, followed by an after party with a VC panel.
For all you entrepreneurs (you must have a SXSW badge though) who are looking to pitch some VC’s, Larry has assembled them for you, and they will pitch you for a change.
Normally Larry does this crazy thing where he charges you like $100 to attend, and if you actually show up he gives you your money back. Well, as loyal AustinStartup readers you will get to skip all that and go straight to a free registration. I have a small handful of these free tickets, and when they’re gone they are gone. Follow these instructions carefully.
- Go to the registration website by following this link.
- Choose a Qty 1 of the Founders Ticket.
- Click the Order Now button. If you got one of the free tickets, it should say $0.
- Show some love and buy me and Larry a drink.
There will be the usual Austin Tech Happy Hour on Thursday March 10th, but it will be earlier in the evening. So you can hit all the Thursday events and get your southby on early. See you there!

Seriously? the one chiang did last year was a total flop, ripoff, and waste of time. Bryan, you would do well to become disassociated from chiang.
Last year's event:

The full name is Lawrence H Chiang. My office # is 512-775-8100 (cell is 650-283-8008) If you need anything from now until Mar7, text me or email larry @duck9 dot com with your cell and “reverseVC 03-10″ in the subj line. My goal is to be helpful, transparent and contributive. If you're combative (or just having a bad night), I'll forgive you (and give you your money back before the door swings shut behind you)
Also, if you're launching at SXSW, I'm getting a VC to subsidize your launch. More to come via this blog
