SailPoint Expands European Presence

sailpointOne year after announcing its market expansion into Europe, SailPoint today announced it has doubled its international partner network and has added leading Global 500 companies to its customer roster. In fact, during the first half of 2009, nearly one-third of SailPoint’s new customers were headquartered in Europe. Additionally, several of the company’s North American customers have extended their SailPoint IdentityIQ™ deployments to manage users and IT resources in international subsidiaries, further expanding the company’s global reach.

“SailPoint IdentityIQ is one of the leading identity governance products, providing strong capabilities in the areas of attestation, auditing and analysis, and role management, and supporting a risk-based approach,” said Martin Kuppinger, a founder of Kuppinger Cole, a premier European analyst firm focused on identity management, GRC and cloud computing. “In the past year, SailPoint has built a strong partnership and customer base in Europe. The company has proven its ability to deliver tangible results – I fully expect SailPoint to continue expanding its European footprint over the next year.”

SailPoint’s growing customer base in Europe and North America includes five of the world’s largest banks and some of the largest consumer, healthcare, insurance, manufacturing and telecom companies. One of Continental Europe’s largest banks recently selected SailPoint IdentityIQ to streamline its user access request process and better address security and compliance requirements.
