MentorWorks Launching in Austin

mentorworksAustin entrepreneur Mark Roberts has recently launched a new website called MentorWorks, which is designed to be a marketplace to match up talented mentors with those seeking expertise. eBay is a great marketplace for all sorts of things, as is craigslist, but none of them really provide the essential elements needed to bring together the people who need each other.

Above is an example of a profile with a list of the person’s expertise, the length of time they have been a member, and a rating/review system that will help the best experts in the marketplace bubble up to the top. This is another aspect of the marketplace where systems like craigslist just don’t have any type of reputation system that adds value for people browsing the marketplace.

You can also browse the marketplace by category, finding all the people who are experts in business, technology, or relationships. Everybody is an expert in something, and this is a great place to sign up and make your expertise available in the market. Especially in today’s economy, people are searching for ways to supplement their income. Getting paid to utilize your personal expertise is certainly a good strategy, and MentorWorks is a great platform that can help you accomplish that.
