BarCampAustin4

It’s that time of year again, and the largest and most successful of BarCamp’s will be held this Saturday March 14th. This is the king of the “un” conferences, and there could be as many as 1,800 people attending the event from around the world (RSVP on Facebook). The agenda will be finalized in the morning, and then it will be a jam-packed day. The location this year will be the former Paradox nightclub, so if you’re at the convention center it’s just a block away.

If you’ve never been, and want to know what the BarCamp experience is like, I’ve got a link for you.

Attendance at BarCamp is free (the best conference deal you can ever find). The organizers are looking for sponsors to join the likes of BMC Software, OpenSolaris, Outernet, Sweet Leaf Tea, and Microsoft Silverlight. If you’d like to get your brand in front of the leading edge Web 2.0 crowd, this is your chance. Sponsorships can be had for as little as $500, or it could be an in-kind sponsorship. Just email the editor here at the blog and I can put you in touch with the organizers.
