TengoInternet Partners with DisplayPoints

TengoInternet, the oldest and largest wireless Internet provider for the outdoor hospitality industry, today announced a partnership with DisplayPoints, an interactive digital media company. The two companies will collaborate to provide RV resorts with a valuable tool to communicate with guests, collect feedback, and promote surrounding businesses and services.

The DisplayPoints system replaces existing paper, print flyers, brochures, and posters, thus reducing costs and contributing to Green initiatives. Its touch-screen based interface makes accessing information quick and easy. Park operators and advertisers simply log in to the web-based interface provided by DisplayPoints, upload their content, and wirelessly deploy it to the remote displays.

“TengoInternet is the ideal WiFi network to enable communication and feedback collection between RV Resort owners and guests in today’s digital age,” said Greg Fitzgerald, CEO of DisplayPoints. “Our interactive media network and touch screen displays have been embraced in other industries as the preferred way for people to gather information about restaurants and other entertainment opportunities in local markets.”

Together with TengoInternet, the DisplayPoints network addresses a significant untouched opportunity to modernize the RV resort and campground industry’s method of communicating with their residents. At present, visitors rely on local staff and expensive print materials that often go unnoticed or undistributed. The DisplayPoints system operates differently than traditional digital signage systems. Instead of using obtrusive displays that disrupt the environment and require extensive cable and networking, the DisplayPoints system utilizes small, wireless displays that sit on the check-in counter and communicate through TengoInternet’s WiFi infrastucture to provide real-time information.

“DisplayPoints’ capabilities differentiate TengoInternet from other wireless service providers by enhancing the value that RV resort and campground owners receive from offering Internet service to their guests,” said Eric Stumberg, CEO of TengoInternet. “The power of the Internet can and should bring value for the campground and ensure high quality infromation for the resident. While advertising is everywhere, the subtle approach of DisplayPoints ensures the experience is positively engaged.”
