Austin-based tablet computing manufacturer Motion Computing closed a $6M round of funding from New Enterprise Associates, Institutional Venture Partners, G-51, and other undisclosed investors. The company will use the funds to expand into the healthcare market, and continue overseas growth.

The company has trimmed down recently, according to public reports. Definitely a necessary move to win the confidence of venture investors, and to convince them to put more money into the company. Especially in today’s environment.

Looks like Christmas came early to Motion!
