Members of the Austin technology community banded together to create Operation Turkey several years ago. The organization is a grass roots effort to feed thousands of homeless on Thanksgiving Day. Last year, they started a music event, the Austin Yam Jam, to raise awareness and funds. This year, the Yam Jam is “back for seconds” with another great event at Threadgills featuring Mingo Fishtrap, Carolyn Wonderland, Guy Forsyth, and porterdavis.

It’s coming up Sunday, October 5th and you can buy tickets here. Thanks to the generous folks at Threadgills, and the musicians themselves, 100% of the ticket proceeds go to Operation Turkey. See you there!
