Inc. 5000 Austin Tech Companies

Inc. Magazine has released their annual list which used to include the top 500 private companies, but for the second year has expanded to 5000. There are 378 Texas-based companies in the list, which means 7.5% of the fastest-growing private companies are in Texas. In browsing through the list, here’s the Austin-based tech companies that we pay attention to that made the list:

While it is interesting to ask people’s opinion on who is missing from the list, please keep in mind that companies apply to be included on the list, so companies like Homeaway and Bazaarvoice may have simply not applied for several reasons. I worked for an Austin-Based online retailer who made the list (#147 I think) back in 2004. They could have easily made the list for the next few years but decided that it was not needed to help them succeed in their market.

  4. I work for a company called Jaduka and our parent company Network Enhanced Telecom is on the list.

    I guess technically Jaduka is based out of Dallas, but our development team is based in Austin.
