Yahoo Blows Away Their Numbers

With a pending deal at Microsoft, people are watching Yahoo’s Q1 numbers very closely. Thomson’s revenue estimate was $1.32B in sales for Q1, and Yahoo blew it away with $1.81B in sales.  In the same quarter last year, Yahoo had $1.67B in sales. Income was $542M compared to $142M a year ago.

They say any good CFO has a bottom drawer with revenue in it. Apparently Blake Jorgensen is a good CFO. In after hours trading the stock was up around one half of one percent. Analysts expected Microsoft’s bid for Yahoo to remain unchanged, no matter what results were reported.
