Spiceworks today announced that it was one of 14 companies selected by Sand Hill Group to present at the prestigious Software 2008 Innovation Showcase, which is taking place in conjunction with the Interop conference at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas, April 29-30. The Software 2008 Innovation Showcase provides a forum for top early-stage companies to present their ideas to an audience of key industry influencers, venture capitalists, journalists and analysts. This year’s showcase theme is focused on helping companies and consumers to “Communicate, Collaborate and Innovate.” Spiceworks will present on April 29th at 12:30pm and will preview a number of new features available in its next major product release, Spiceworks version 3.0.
“What Salesforce.com did for sales organizations with the SaaS model, Spiceworks is doing for the SMB IT manager with its ad-supported business software model,” said M.R. Rangaswami, co-founder of The Sand Hill Group. “It’s the next evolution of the software business and embodies the spirit of what the Innovation Showcase is all about.”
