Bazaarvoice imageHave you noticed this new little graphic on the Bazaarvoice website? By the time you read this, the number might have reached 12 billion. The review counter instantly tallies each user-generated review accessed by shoppers on Bazaarvoice client sites. Bazaarvoice clients include over 190 of the world’s largest and most trusted brands, including Dell, Macy’s, Office Depot, Inc., Overstock.com, PETCO, QVC, and Sears. Pretty amazing really.

“At a recent board meeting, Neeraj Agrawal from Battery Ventures had the fantastic idea to post our total reviews served on our website, ” Brett Hurt the CEO of Bazaarvoice tells us. It didn’t take long for the team to put together the technology infrastructure to aggregate the data for publishing.

At this rate, by August of 2008 the company will hit the 20 billion mark.

The company also had a mention in USA Today yesterday.
