Nuventix is the latest Austin company to announce that it has raised additional venture funding, having closed on a $8.5 million round. The company, formerly known as Innovative Fluidics, focuses on producing cooling devices that efficiently and effectively dissipate heat from any surface. Recently the company launched its SynJet technology, which allows twice the light output compared to passive LED thermal management designs, quite a feat in the LED market which is exploding right now. Nuventix raised its initial venture capital funded round of $6.5M in September of 2005 from Centerpoint Ventures, InterWest Partners and RHO Ventures.
