A New Year at AustinStartup!

It’s a new year and a new look for AustinStartup. We’re using some new software for the blog which will give us some exciting new capabilities in 2008. You might be seeing them already up in the menu bar. Some new sections for you:

  • Calendar — We’re hoping to start automatically syndicating calendars from your favorite tech-oriented organizations into a single calendar.
  • Jobs — Many of our readers are looking for employment opportunities in technology, so we’re using even more of the great features from Indeed.com to provide a great technology job board for you. We are constantly combing the web for tech jobs in Austin, and we’ll also allow you to post jobs here for cheap (like $49) that will run all across the Indeed network.

Important Note: If you were previously going directly to the TypePad website (http://austinstartup.typepad.com) instead of automatically being re-directed when you went directly to our website (http://www.austinstartup.com) you will continue to see the old site archives, and not the new postings. Update your favorites to point directly to the website at www.AustinStartup.com.

Feed Readers: We’re working with FeedBurner to automatically convert RSS feeds. If all else fails, just grab the new feed.

We’re just now starting to get the window dressing up, so expect some visual changes over the next several days. As well as some new features.
