Our friends over at SXSWi announced that Mark Zuckerberg, founder of Facebook, will deliver the keynote presentation on Sunday, March 9th at 2pm. Mark is one of the luckier guys in the world, and he’s been hitting the speaking circuit lately, appearing recently on 60 Minutes to try to explain the whole Beacon thing. The format will be an on-stage interview, conducted by Sarah Lacy. Sarah is a writer for BusinessWeek, and co-hosts Yahoo Finance’s “TechTicker.” She co-wrote the story that accompanied Digg-founder Kevin Rose when he was on the cover of Businessweek. There were some other speakers mentioned in the announcement, so check out the link. I heard a rumor that AustinStartup guest blogger Thom Singer will be speaking at the conference.

  1. That rumor is true. I will be speaking on the “authors stage” Sunday afternoon after Zuckerberg’s keynote, ….which in some way makes him my warm-up act !!! I figure he will have a few more people in his audience…but I invite all your readers to come see my presentation on how to make the most out of networking at a multi-day conference!
