CTAN Doubles Deal Flow

The Central Texas Angel Network announced that in 2007 they funded $1.2M across 9 early stage companies. They reviewed 120 business plans from applicants, 18 of them made it to presentation phase, and 9 got funding. Some of the Austin companies receiving funding include OneSpot, Minggl, and Perception Software. According to Chairman Jamie Rhodes, “This is an excellent time to be involved in an Angel Network. We’ve seen both membership and deal flow almost doubling over the past year.”

Back in November we wrote about a study that showed how groups of angel investors are seeing better returns than venture investors.
