Austin Ventures is backing a Palm Beach, Florida-based community/social networking startup called Divorce360.com. The company isn’t headquartered in Austin, so we’re not tracking it’s every move, but the story is getting a lot of play for some reason. TechCrunch wrote about it yesterday, and The Statesman writes that it’s being announced today.

We’re not sure how AV hooked up with this company, but Divorce360.com founder Cotter Cunningham is the former COO at Bankrate. AV has some interests in the financial services world (pulled IPO candidate CreditCards.com) so maybe there’s a connection there. AV’s Tom Ball is on the board of this startup in conjunction with the investment. They’re pretty lucky to have Tom’s advice on board, as he’s a proven successful entrepreneur before his Austin Ventures gig.
