Homeaway
HomeAway, the Austin-based company which essentially is a
rollup in the vacation rental home market and has raised over $200M in venture capital
, has announced it has closed its acquisition of OwnersDirect.co.uk, making this its fourth acquisition in the past year.  OwnersDirect.co.uk is the second largest vacation rental
web site in the United Kingdom, behind Holiday-Rentals.co.uk, a website which is already held by HomeAway.  The additional 17,000 "holiday homes" acquired this week clearly cements HomeAway’s status as the number one destination for home owners and managers looking to market their properties to the largest audience
of vacation rental travelers in the world.  As we said back in June, we fully expect HomeAway to announce its intent to go public very shortly.

Comments:
  1. I have been reviewing another firm that seems to be a cheaper packaged solution for vacation rental software users. Tenantwiz.com has several asp’s that are more flexible and user friendly than the rest. Any comments from other Homeaway or VRBO users?
