Texas Governor Rick Perry was quoted as saying that this was another testament to the outstanding workforce, quality of life, and business climate in Texas. This is another of a continuing stream of announcements of companies moving or opening offices in Austin including Borland Software and Google.

According to the Austin American Statesman, PayPal has had 30 employees working in Austin for a month at the Freescale offices on West Parmer. They hope to hire 70 more by the end of the year. PayPal has locations in San Jose, Scottsdale, Omaha, Dublin, and now Austin.

Wouldn’t it be interesting if Google put the Google Checkout team in their new Austin facility?
